Packing for just a short trip can be stressful though when it comes to what beauty products are absolute requirements, so we’ve put together a list of the must-have beauty items to make your mini weekend vacation just that much sweeter!
1. Eyes Even if you’re planning on hitting the LA club scene, bold eye makeup looks aren’t practical for vacation. Lugging around your old palette and fifteen brushes will just weigh you down on a vacation, so stick to a single color that can be applied all over and blended out. Our personal favorite is the Pink Posey Crème to Powder ShadowSense, which is a light but warm color that works will all skin tones and outfits. 2. Lips Since you’re going easy on the eyes, you may want a bold lip color to balance out your look. LipSense in Pomegranate has been our go-to this season, since the cool tones work with all skin colors. If you’ll be spending time in the sun (and we hope you are!), make sure to pack a lip balm you can rely on, such as our pick here. 3. Skin Care We cannot say it enough: sunscreen is your friend! Even if you don’t think you’ll be in the sun that long, make sure to wear a good SPF such as this one to keep your skin in good condition for the years to come. You’ll still get a bit of color so your coworkers are jealous of your mini-vacay, but you’ll protect from any damage. At night, keep your skin dewy with an evening moisturizer. If you’ll be flying, keep in mind that the TSA requires everything in your carry-on to be in 100ml (or less!) bottles. Our favorite tip for travelling is to save and empty out a few hotel amenity bottles and put your favorite products in them! Of course, you can always purchase empty travel-size bottles at any drugstore if you haven’t recently stayed in a hotel. Traveling should never be stressful. Stick to our recommendations to make your mini-vacation as easy as possible! After all, every step of a vacation should be towards one goal: total relaxation.
